On Valentine’s Day
We hope your day blooms with beautiful, magical, and wonderful things.
Happy Valentine’s Day from Oak Park Senior Living. ♥
Happy Presidents’ Day from Oak Park Senior Living.
First established in 1885 in recognition of George Washington, what we now know as Presidents’ Day was part of the Uniform Monday Holiday Act in 1971 – designed to create more Monday holidays (and 3-day weekends) for workers.
Today the holiday is an opportunity to celebrate all U.S. presidents.

Santa and his helpers left the North pole a bit early to pay a special visit to the residents of Oak Park Senior Living. They brought candy and spread lots of joy and laughter as they made their way around the entire building! 🎅
Oak Park Senior Living tenant, Marj A., allowed us to display her very impressive Christmas village for all to enjoy. Marj has been collecting her villages for many years and each piece has a special meaning to her. Since Christmas had to be a bit different this year, she wanted to share the joy the villages bring her with everyone. Thank you, Marj!
Residents from our Garden Cove apartments spent one December afternoon frosting, decorating, and eating delicious Christmas cookies. Everyone loved sharing their favorite Christmas cookie recipe, as well as a few baking mishaps they’ve had over the years!

We had a VERY special day here at Oak Park Senior Living recently with a drive-by parade honoring one of our community members, Floyd.
Not only was it his 93rd birthday, we were also celebrating his 55 years of volunteer service with the Maplewood Oakdale Lions Club. Surrounded by friends and family, Floyd watched as Lions Clubs members from all across the state drove by to honor and thank him for his generosity and hard work. KSTP even came by to cover the heartwarming story. Watch the news clip below and please join us in congratulating and wishing a very happy birthday to our friend, Floyd!Read More

Saturday, June 13 was a very special day here at Oak Park Senior Living: One of our residents, Charlie H., turned 100! To celebrate and honor this monumental occasion, Charlie’s friends and family put on a car parade just for him. He had so much fun waving as the line of cars filled with loved ones drove by.
Charlie, a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War, says his secret to a long and happy life is letting go of the things you can’t change and focusing on the present and enjoying every minute. What great advice from an amazing man!
Thank you to everyone who helped organize and participated in this incredibly touching celebration. Please join us in wishing a happy 100th birthday to Charlie! ???Read More
