Happy Hour, Music, and Amazing Entertainment at Oak Park

May 31st, 2019

Live music and lots of fun! Tenants recently enjoyed happy hour, music, and amazing entertainment here at Oak Park.

Tenants at Oak Park love coming together for happy hour on Friday afternoons. Everyone enjoys listening to music provided by our resident DJ Roger, sharing a few laughs, and, of course, having some refreshments! ?

Last Wednesday, Oak Park tenants enjoyed entertainment by Kent Appeldoorn. Kent brought along a couple special guests – Elvis and his cousin, Ennis – to get everyone laughing, singing, and dancing along to some favorites from the ’50s and ’60s. ????

Mother’s Day Wishes and Senior Prom at Oak Park Senior Living!

Oak Park held its Senior Prom on May 9th with a “back to the ‘50s” theme. Many of our tenants were going to their actual prom back in the ‘50s, so everyone was excited to relive some fun memories from their youth.

There were special treats prepared by our talented kitchen staff and champagne for all to enjoy. For this year’s entertainment, we were very lucky to have the ’50s doo-wop band, the TC Cats, to keep the crowd singing, clapping, and dancing ????

Kent Appledoorn Entertainment

December 13th, 2018

A few days ago, Kent Appeldoorn was here to entertain our residents with his Christmas show. The community room was packed, so Connie ended up sitting on her rolling walker. I noticed that she was singing and swaying to the music, so I asked her to dance with me. She said “Why not?” and started dancing while sitting on her rolling walker. We were dancing to Mack the Knife. Connie was having the best time and so were all the residents and the staff who participated.
